Then it looks like it can't be done for now. Perhaps the author of Dig could move the database data to an accesible folder, or offer the option, in a future update.

Short update, it turns out that "Merge game sets" works somewhat, in some cases (Sega CD, Sega Saturn) it loads the cue file (even if the first bin is shown when viewing game info), in other cases (Dreamcast) it lets you choose the file from a list …

Why do you want a loading screen? For me Dig launches emulators instantly, adding a loading screen would only slow it down.

Have you tried /data/data/com.digdroid.alman.dig? Not /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/, but /data/data/. You'll need root to access that though.
