Using a retroarch core as the emulator for any system does not work and more
ok so i wanted to use dig to turn my samsung s7 tablet into a mini little emulator that can play all my games. i downloaded all the emulators needed for the systems i want to emulate but ran into some issues. 1: using a retroarch core (such as retroarch-melonds and retroarch-flycast) as my emulator will not work. i press the play button on the game im using that core for and nothing happens. when something does happen, retroarch is on a frozen black screen and stops working. the only working systems ive had using dig are 3ds, and n64 because by some miracle they work with the standalone apps. when i try to use certain standalone apps like my boy! lite for gba and dolphin for gcn and wii, they wont play because they are "invalid gba files" or "invalid isos". however, when i launch both apps seperately, the games launch because that error doesnt come up. also, most of the cores you can choose as emulators arent on normal retroarch, only on retroarch plus. im on android 12

edit: the invalid roms thing happens when using retroarch cores as well
Using a retroarch core as the emulator for any system does not work and more
https://digdroid.com/forums/discussion/119338/using-a-retroarch-core-as-the-emulator-for-any-system-does-not-work-and-moreA lot of cores(emulators) require bios files placed in Retroarch System folder so it is highly recommended recommended to set up your Cores and settings in RetroArch first.
ok I just put dolphins required files into the system folder, same thing still happening with the press play and nothing happens
I also just setup flycast on retroarch plus and when I launch it from retroarch plus it runs amazingly, but when I try using dig to launch a dreamcast game (set my emulator to retroarch flycast and 64 bit retroarch) it doesn't work, I press the play button and nothing happens
also all of these cores work perfectly when I use em on retroarch plus and not dig
so it's not that
Okay, is this happening for all the cores while using Dig? Also have you tried Redream for Dreamcast, I use that and it runs perfectly.
BTW, if anyone is interested, to check each cores required Bios files and the rom extension files that Core can handle: Launch RetroArch > Load Core > Click Information > then Core Information.
yeah it's happening for all cores on dig
also I just tried launching dreamcast games with flycast core from launch box and it worked so it is something with dig
I don't see what I'm doing wrong on dig though,(using snes for example) when I try to launch donkey kong country with the snes9x core using 64 bit retroarch (I'm pretty sure that is retroarch plus on android) I hit play and nothing happens.
Yes 64 bit is RetroArch Plus.
Not sure why they won't run via Dig, I've took a few screenshots of my setup for Snes:
One is in the System menu and the other in the game menu.
I seem to be having a similar issue.. I hit play and it doesn't do anything..
